Alabama Operations Management Institute

Each potential host company will be assessed by AOMI Production Systems Mentors to see if the following criteria are met:

1. Potential target company leadership should be able to demonstrate a commitment to production systems concepts.
2. Potential target company should be willing to accept direction and implement ideas presented by the AOMI team.
3. Potential target company should have general cleanliness, order, and a culture of safety.
4. Potential target company’s local management should have complete authority to effect change (limited corporate influence).
5. Assessment will include spending time with team members at all levels of the potential target company, including:
   •      Senior leadership.
   •      Shop floor (including front line management)
   •      Inventory systems and flow.
   •      Quality and documentation systems (standardization).

Each potential participant will be assessed by AOMI Production Systems Mentors to see if the following criteria are met:

1. Potential participant’s company leadership should be able to demonstrate a commitment to implement production systems concepts.
2. Potential participant must be willing to commit to all scheduled class time.
